Situated in the former military royal school, the Napoleon museum was created further to the wish of the elected members to pay tribute to this well-known figure.
He was inaugurated in 1969 and formed by 3 rooms dealing with the schooling of Bonaparte in Brienne-le-Château and the rural area of France.
After almost two years of works, the Napoleon museum reopened in January, 2018 with a new reception, a modern set design and renewed themes.
Paintings, prints, writings, books, sculptures, statues, diverse objects (tin soldiers, firearms, soldiers’ attributes), without forgetting famous bircorn hat ( only four are still in France).
The distinctive characteristic of the museum is that all the aspects of Napoleon’s life are gathered in the same place.
